The Aquos Phone Zeta SH-06E is Sharp and DoCoMo's flagship of the Summer 2013 collection, and the only smartphone in the collection to have an IGZO display.
The SH-06E has a 4.8-inch screen and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px (Full HD) or a density of 460 ppi. The function buttons have been positioned outside of the screen area unlike most new models released in the past year.
Onboard we find the latest in camera technology, Sharp's BrightEye shooter for improved light sensitivity (F 1.9) that, together with the now standard-feature optical lens stabilisation, and the back-illuminated 13.1 megapixels, should provide an unmatched photographing experience. The inner camera is 2.1 MP.
The Zeta SH-06E is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon Pro APQ8064T clocked at 1.7GHz, has 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB built-in memory (expandable by SDXC cards). It comes with the latest version of Android - 4.2.
The following radio frequencies are supported:
LTE: 800 MHz (B19), 1500 MHz (B21), 2100 MHz (B1).
3G: 850 MHz (B5 + B6 in Japan), 2100 MHz (B1).
GSM: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz.
Like all other Japanese phones, the SH-06E is waterproof (IPX5/7) but lacks dustproofing.
Also featured are: NFC / FeLiCa support, Full Seg (standard digital terrestrial TV), NOTTV, Bluetooth, Infrared, and fast charge functionality together with Qi wireless charging.
The Aquos Phone Zeta SH-06E is available in blue, white and red, measures 138mm × 70mm × 9.9mm (thickest part: about 10.4mm) and weighs 157 grams. The battery capacity is 2600 mAh, which, in combination with the IGZO LCD technology, should ensure up to two days of heavy use with one charge.
