The Aquos Compact SH-02H is the smaller device Sharp released in the Winter 2015/2016 collection, out in December 2015.
Like its bigger brother, the SH-02H has very narrow top and size bezel (EDGEST series) for maximum screen surface for its 4.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080px) screen that is built using the IGZO technology for optimum energy efficiency. LIke the SH-01H, the display refresh rate has been upped to 120 Hz for extra smooth rendering of fast moving objects.
The main camera is also the same as that on the SH-01H: 13.1-megapixel, OIS, RICOH GR-certified professional single focus digital camera series. Specifications: f/1.9, BrightEye, real-time HDR, Night Catch II, 4K2K video, 120 fps in Full HD and 210 fps in FWVGA resolution, super slow motion video of 2100 fps in FWVGA and 1200 fps in Full HD. The inner camera, however, is 5 MP, unlike the 8 PM shooter on the SH-01H. Nevertheless, it still comes with auto focus and wide-angle shooting.
The processor on the Aquos Compact SH-02H is the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (MSM8992) that has two 1.8 GHz cores and four 1.4 GHz cores. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, the ROM is 16 GB, expandable to up to 200 GB using microSDXC cards.
The radio frequencies the SH-02H supports are as follows:
LTE: 800 MHz (Band 19), 1.7 GHz (Band 3), 2.0 Ghz (Band 1).
3G: 800 MHz, 2.0 GHz.
The device is naturally waterproof (IPX5 / 8) and dustproof (IP6X).
Other features include One Seg digital TV, mobile wallet, VoLTE, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.1, rapid charging, etc.
Originally released with Android 5.1, the Aquos Compact SH-02H received the upgrade to Android 6.0 on 21st June 2016. On 20th April 2017, it received the upgrade to Android 7.0.
The battery is 2810 mAh. The SH-02H is offered in two two-colour versions: yellow + silver and blue + black. Its dimensions are 126 × 66 × 8.9mm and it weighs 120 grams.
