The Aquos Xx2 mini is the smaller device Sharp are releasing in SoftBank's Winter 2015/2016 collection. It is the same as the Docomo Aquos Compact SH-02H, only rebranded.
The Aquos Xx2 mini (503SH) has very narrow top and size bezel (EDGEST series) to ensure maximum screen surface for its 4.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080px) screen, which uses the new 120 Hz high-speed IGZO display that guarantees extra smooth rendering of fast moving objects.
The main camera is also the same as that on the Docomo SH-01H and SH-02H, and the Softbank Aquos Xx2: 13.1-megapixel, OIS, RICOH GR-certified professional single focus digital camera series. Specifications: F1.9, BrightEye, real-time HDR, Night Catch II, 4K2K video, 120 fps in Full HD and 210 fps in FWVGA resolution, super slow motion video of 2100 fps in FWVGA and 1200 fps in Full HD. The inner camera is 5 MP with auto focus and wide-angle shooting, the same as the one found on the Aquos Compact SH-02H.
The processor on the Aquos Xx2 mini is the 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm MSM8992 that has two 1.8 GHz cores and four 1.4 GHz cores. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, the ROM is 16 GB, expandable to up to 200 GB using microSDXC cards.
The device is naturally waterproof (IPX5 / IPX8) and dustproof (IP6X).
Only One-Seg digital TV is supported, not Full-Seg.
Other features include Felica mobile wallet, VoLTE, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.1, rapid charging, etc.
Supported frequencies include:
GSM system (850 MHz / 900 MHz / 1800 MHz / 1900 MHz)
W-CDMA system (900 MHz / 2100 MHz)
FDD-LTE system (1700 MHz / 2100 MHz). The Sharp website says that 900 MHz is also supported for FDD-LTE but only in Japan. And there's also the2.5 Ghz AXGP system, which is again Japan-only.
The battery is 2810 mAh. The Aquos Xx2 mini 503SH is offered in five colour versions: red, white, blue, pink, and black. Its dimensions are 126 × 66 × 8.9mm and it weighs 121 grams.
