FIH Mobile have just announced a new Sharp-branded device, the Sharp A2 Lite.
This is a low-end smartphone with 5.7-inch HD+ screen (720 x 1440 px) and an aspect ratio of 18:9. A 2.5D glass is installed ontop.
The A2 Lite is powered by a quadcore MediaTek MT6737T processor (4 x 1.3 GHz), 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB built-in storage.
The rear (main) camera comprises two sensors: one 13 MP and one 5 MP (f/2.0), while the front-facing selfie camera is 8 MP.
The MTK processor supports FDD-LTE, W-CDMA, and GSM radio communication, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n). There is support for 2 SIM cards – the second SIM slot can function as a microSD card slot. A fingerprint authentication sensor is mounted on the back of the phone.
The retail price of the Sharp A2 Lite in Vietnam is 3,990,000 VND, which equals 175 USD. Can't expect a lot for this much, can you?
The Sharp A2 Lite will launch with Android 7.0 Nougat and will be available in black and gold colours.
At the end of April, a modification of the phone has surfaced, called Sharp A2 Mini (IF9009). It is an exact replica of the A2 Lite, the only exception being is the lack of NFC and fingerprint authentication.
