It's less than a month and docomo will announce their Summer 2019 collection, with the Sharp flagship occupying a leading position in it. Rumours have been circulating about the next Aquos R – this time, the Aquos R3, as Sharp reserved the name as a trade mark a month ago.

In the docomo list, the Aquos R3 will be named SH-04L, and the manufacturer model is APYHRO00272.

Next to nothing is known as yet but as details trickle away I will be updating this article.

The SH-04L will support only a limited range of radio frequencies:

LTE (FDD): 850 (B5) / 700 (B12 / B17) MHz
W-CDMA: 850 (V) MHz
GSM: 1900/850 MHz.

All Wi-Fi modes are available: b/g/n/ac – at 2.4 GHz and at 5.x GHz.

The battery capacity is 3200 mAh, which should last you two days of average use (after you've had your fair share of awe and admiration), considering it should feature an energy-efficient IGZO display.

What's new is the support for Qi wireless charging. The FCC report for the Aquos R3 contains a reference to testing carried out by the Wireless Power Consortium and to docomo's wireless charger 04, manufactured by Hosiden.
