The W-Zero3 line by Sharp and Willcom has made a glorius return after a nearly 2-year silence on that front. The HYBRID W-ZERO3 (WS027SH), on sale in Japanese stores from 28th January 2010, is a glorious return: with 3.5 inches of FWVGA (854x480) screen, a Qualcomm MSM7200A ARM11 528MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a PHS and WCDMA phone - UNLOCKED, running on Windows Mobile 6.5 with a first-time Sharp-Willcom proprietary GUI using the so called "x-Crawl" jog dial,Wi-Fi, GPS and a 5 MP camera, the Hybrid W-Zero is a gadget I'm really looking forward to laying hands on.
Usability outside of Japan is made possible by a special GSM radio module - the CM-G100, sold by Willcom, which can be inserted in the PHS module slot.
* The HYBRID W-ZERO3 is the first and only Windows Mobile device to have a FWVGA resolution of 854x480. Other brands only support up to 800x480. This has been made possible over a special collaboration project between Sharp and Microsoft.
* The CM-G100 W-SIM GSM module is manufactured by IAC and sold by Technico Japan Corp., http://www.technicojapan.jp/GSM/CM-G100.html
