Aquos Phone – The Hybrid is what the 007SH is also called. The SoftBank summer 2011 flagship keitai is a long-awaited Japanese cycloid running Android 2.3, the only other member of this class being the Chinese SH7218.
The 007SH has a 3.4-inch screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution – glassless 3D capable. It is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 and 512 MB of RAM (about 150 MB free/user-accessible). The built-in storage memory is 1 GB (user-accessible less than 200 MB); up to 32 GB microSDHC memory cards are supported.
Like all flip keitai, the 007SH has a small external Organic EL back-and-white display measuing 0.7 inches with a resolution of 96 x 24 dots to display incoming calls, mail, SMS, pedometer, etc.
The Aquos Hybrid 007SH flaunts a 16.1 megapixel CCD-matrix camera that can take 3D photos (by panning the camera slowly to the right). Connectivity is achieved through high-speed 3G (up to 14.1 Mbs downlink), GSM support for overseas, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, InfraRed.
The 007SH Hybrid comes traditionally equipped with One Seg TV (support for 3D content added), FeLiCa digital wallet and GPS. Another advantage is that this is a waterproof and dustproof keitai – IPX5/IPX7, and IP5X. It works on W-CDMA systems (1.5/2.1 GHz), and GSM system (900/1800/1900 MHz).
The Aquos Hybrid 007SH is offered in white, light blue, bordeaux and black.
It measures 51.8 x 113 x 19.3 millimetres (width x height x depth) and weighs 140 grams (battery included).
A major drawback for this otherwise gorgeous keitai is the small capacity battery: merely 820 mAh.
Two additional versions of the 007SH are released by SoftBank: the first one is a women's version, the 007SH J, which comes pre-loaded with various applications that will be of women's interest, such as a cooking app., and the second one is a Hello Kitty version, the 007SH KT, which has a Hello Kitty themed body and phone theme.
