The Aquos Phone IS13SH is Sharp's gem in the Winter 2011 collection by AU KDDI, announced recently.
The IS13SH comes with an impressive 4.2-inch main display with the now standard for Japanese smart phones resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a 2.1-inch sub display located below the main one. This is the so called "memory display" that we saw on the IS03SH last year which will memorize the most frequently used shortcuts and display them together with missed calls info, the time etc. without the user having to light up the main screen for such basic needs. The IS13SH display is not 3D capable unlike the majority of new keitai released on the Japanese market.
This Aquos Phone runs Android 2.3 on an MSM8655 Snapdragon processor working at 1.4 Ghz with an as yet unknown RAM and ROM memory.
The IS013SH uses KDDI's Global Passport CDMA radio, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, and has an 8 megapixel CMOS camera. Standard features include One Seg digital TV and Mobile Wallet. The IS13SH is also waterproof and dustproof (IPX5/IPX7).
It will be available in two colours: "airy pink" and "black shadow". Approximate measures are 65 × 132 × 8.9 (W x H x D, mm) and the weight is 131 grams.
