In February 2012, carrier AU KDDI launched the new IIDA Infobar C01 (SHX12) by Sharp, a bar-type phone with a 12-key numerical keypad and a 3.2-inch FWVGA display (854 x 480 px).
The Infobar C01 runs on Android 2.3 and has the IIDA user interface we saw on last year's Inforbar A01. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655T processor colcked at 1 GHz, has 512 MB of RAM and an 8 MP CMOS camera. Standard features include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Infrared, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR, and DLNA multimedia sharing.
The IIDA Infobar C01 measures 130 mm x 52 mm x 12.3 mm and weights around 106 grams and has a rather limited capacity battery of 1020 mAh. It is available in three colours - Nishikigoi, Ichimatsu and Kiiro.
This Infobar has GSM/3G Global Passport, which means it is usable all over the world, but the SIM lock cannot be removed.
