The first of three new phones announced by AU and Sharp in the Summer 2012 collection, the Aquos Phone Serie ISW16SH is the AU's flagship for this season.
The Aquos Phone Serie ISW16SH rocks with 4.6 inches of screen estate with HD (1280 x 720 px) resolution, a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8660A processor at 1.5 Ghz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of built-in memory. Just as all newly released phones, this one is running Android 4.0, too.
The ISW16SH has AU's Global Passport brand and supports (CDMA / GSM / UMTS) and WiMax (up to 40 Mbps downstream). It comes equipped with standard features such as Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Infrared, OneSeg TV, and is, naturally, water- and dust-proof (IP5X, IPX5/IPX7). To ensure true global support, Sharp have added not just the Japan-standard FeLiCa digital wallet, but also NFC support.
At the back of this beast we find a 12.1 megapixel shooter with a CMOS sensor and built-in optical stabilization, and a 0.3 MP rear camera for video calls. The main camera is capable of shooting Full HD videos.
The Aquos Phone Serie ISW16SH weighs just 136 grams and measures 66 x 126 x 11.6 mm (W x H x D). Is is powered by a 1800 mAh battery.
